I am a blogger. One who Blogs

Or perhaps it's "blohgher" - it might be a soft 'g'.

Well well well. I fully realise that probably no-one will ever read this. But I seem to spend an awful lot of time in front of this laptop at the moment in between visiting gofugyourself.com, perezhilton, watching HBO's True Blood episodes on YouTube, finding old movies i haven't watched in years on YouTube - hello? Heathers? Facebooking, Skyping, looking up expat forums to try to find some friends (which feels lame but, beggars do not = choosers) researching holiday destinations, emailing etc so, in general, a lot of time wastage.

So I may as well write...... Stuff.

Potentially humorous stuff? - Maybe
Pulitzer/Man Booker prize winning stuff? Unlikely.

Will I keep myself entertained and potentially keep others updated on my strange little French-y life? Yep. So all in all a good decision methinks.

Want to know what was NOT a good decision? The day i decided to buy a product called "Banoffe" by a company called Gu.
Let me explain.
This country "does" bread. That's a given. It also has a religious-like obsession with cheese. Sure. But did you know howText Colour CRAZY the frenchies are for dessert? Like, with every meal. And ice cream! We go to fancy-ish restaurants (ok, we're poor, they aren't fancy, they just aren't Maccas) and they have like a whole dessert ice cream menu. Odd. But great, if, you know, heart attacks are high on your "to do" list.
So in the supermarkets there are aisles devoted to desserts. Mousses, pots of chocolate, custards, creme brulees, creme caramels. Lots of creme. And one day i was intrigued to see a brand called "Gu" and they had little pots of banana/toffee/chocolate cheesecake type things. So i bough them thinking Mark might like to try it for dessert. (My self delusion is steel tight).

And they are DELICIOUS. Intoxicating. Sublime. Irresistible. I love them more than air.

And i live a 2 minute walk away from the supermarket.

So yeah. Not a good decision.

And they don't make patches for Gu.

Well - that was a first post ramble. Welcome!
